Foster Youth who are emancipated into legal adulthood are often at a disadvantage when it comes to college and career placement.

Through the College of Alameda's Cougar Scholar Program, coordinator and EOPS counselor Jamar Mears is here to help such students financially and emotionally integrate into college life.
