The Vietnamese American Bar Association of Northern California ("VABANC") has selected Thuy Thi Nguyen as the recipient of its 2011 Trailblazer Award. Since 2003, Thuy Thi Nguyen has served as General Counsel for the Peralta Colleges. Ms. Nguyen spearheaded the establishment of a language court interpreter program at Laney College. The program's goal is to introduce court interpreting courses for Cantonese, Mandarin, and Vietnamese in the near future.
