Members of the student body participated in a push-up contest -- with free LA Galaxy tickets on the line -- as part of the Associated Students' "Welcome Back" event for fall 2011 on Wednesday, August 31, 2011. The event was held adjacent to the campus pond. AMP Radio (97.1 FM) provided music for Welcome Back, which features information from clubs and other activities on campus. The event was scheduled over two days (also including September 1) on the Cypress College campus.
